REVIEW: PyroPet: Hoppa

I must admit, I am a fan things that are ‘a little bit different’ and this PyroPet is no exception. We were kindly sent a PyroPet in their Hoppa rabbit design for review; Hoppa means jump in Icelandic and is a common name for a pet rabbit. The idea for PyroPets was from Thorunn Arnadottir, who is an Icelandic based designer and studied at The Royal Collage of Art in London. PyroPets are designed to reveal a skeleton as they slowly burn away. The skeleton inside is silver and made from aluminium, the candle itself is made from paraffin wax and measures approximately 17cm high by 10cm long and has a burning time of around 15 hours.

As the wax drips away you also get the skeleton creating a spooky silhouette in a dimly lit room which is a real conversation starter! PyroPets are available in a range of different colours and animals (cats, dragons and dogs, to name a few) and their angular design makes them look super cool on display as well as making the perfect gift for those who love things that are a little bit different! To see the full range visit the PyroPets website.
