My tiny reviewer is 8 months old and we have been weaning him now for a couple of months. He is baby number four and just as we did with the others, we are sticking with purees and some finger food, rather than baby-led weaning.
The Baby Wings Mash ‘n’ Stash Weaning Pots store up to 10 portions of food in 60ml/2oz sections. The 10 serving pots are all joined together in a flexible silicone tray and silicone lid. The trays are also microwave and freezer safe, and can be placed on to the top rack of the dishwasher as well as in the oven up to 218 degrees C. Products like this are essential in our home as it makes a huge difference being able to wash them with everything else, so this is a real plus point for us!
To use the pots you simply have to make up your baby’s food and then pour or spoon it in to each of the pots and then put the lid on. If the food is still warm then it is advised to leave it until it reaches room temperature and then put the tray in the freezer. If you have more than one tray then they will stack neatly on top of each other to save space. When you want a portion of food the silicone pots allow you to easily pop out one serving at a time in to a bowl ready for defrosting. We have found at 8 months that two of the servings is about right for our baby’s appetite.
We have found these pots really useful as I will often make up a large bolognese base or similar that I can use with pasta and rice for the other three children and two adults. I can blend up some of it and then freeze it and add mashed pasta or rice to it to make easy and quick meals for the youngest. They are really easy to use and the frozen food pops out really easily due to the flexible silicone tray. The silicone used for the tray and lid is made from LGFB and FDA approved food grade silicone and has no fillers. Food grade silicone is naturally free from BPA, Phthalatites, PVC, Lead and Cadmium or other toxins so they are totally safe for your little ones.
The Baby Wings Mash ‘n’ Stash Weaning Pots also come with 3 quick and easy recipes on the back of the packet, a really great idea as sometimes you do run out of ideas and you wouldn’t always think about putting certain food together. The Mash ‘n’ Stash Weaning Pots currently retail at £9.93 and can be found over on the Baby Wings website.
