World Book Day author Pamela Butchart has signed up to write two new titles about Enid Blyton’s much-loved Secret Seven characters.

Hodder Children’s Books, an imprint of Hachette Children’s Group, announces the acquisition of two new books about Enid Blyton’s Secret Seven, from award-winning World Book Day 2018 author Pamela Butchart.
Alex Antscherl, Editorial Director for Enid Blyton Entertainment, has secured world rights from Becky Bagnell, Lindsay Literary Agency.
Set in the same world as Enid Blyton’s original stories, these fantastic new mysteries will have all the fun, adventure and humour that Butchart is known for, while satisfyingly extending this much-loved series. The first book, The Mystery of the Skull, will publish on 12th July 2018 with the second to come in early 2019.
Tony Ross, illustrator for Horrid Henry and David Walliams, will illustrate these exciting new additions to the series. Refreshed editions of his covers for the original series will publish at the same time in 2018 and 2019.
